Wrented is a Charley Harper Art Studio classic, the 1968 serigraph of house wrens nesting in a human skull. Harper wrote that many people see the grin as a reminder of mortality, but to a wren an empty cranium is just another home-site with a domed ceiling. A Kentucky doctor’s souvenir skull was remodeled by wrens in 1888 and still occupied in 1945, when it was moved to an Indiana garage and promptly re-wrented. That skull and its tenants wrap this 15oz accent ceramic mug in white ceramic with a glossy finish and a contrasting handle, an ergonomic C-shaped handle, and a lead- and BPA-free body.
