Charley wrote the caption for the 1973 serigraph, painted from a late-summer night when he and Edie left a watermelon on the porch and came back to a raccoon family already at work: “You’d be moonlighting, too, if you had three hungry kids with a delinquent father… these backyard burglars will steal your heart.” Printed on a cotton-polyester canvas with a proprietary coating that holds the color and detail, it sits in an FSC-certified pinewood frame offered in multiple sizes and four finishes. Sawtooth hanging hardware is already attached, so it is ready to hang.
