Cat Carson, Western Scout is Edie Harper’s 1983 pun on Kit Carson, a cat cast as the frontier scout, painted in acrylic and later issued as a square giclée from the original. The joke is in the name: the western pathfinder reduced to her flat geometry and a tan palette, one of the cat pictures she returned to for decades. No published caption turns up with the print, so the title does the talking. Printed on a cotton-polyester canvas with a proprietary coating that holds the color and detail, it sits in an FSC-certified pinewood frame in four finishes, available in square sizes only, with sawtooth hanging hardware already attached.
Please note: Due to the production process of the canvases, please allow for slight size deviations with a tolerance +/- 1/8" (3.2mm).
